Listen to the new EP by broken beat maestros Dego and Kaidi on London-based label Eglo Records
Eglo Records is run by Alexander Nut and Floating Points (aka Sam Shepherd). In the past four years, the London-based label has been experimenting at the artistic juncture where jazz meets soul, funk and electronica.
The label has achieved quite a degree of success with artists such as Fatima and Dirg Gerner – and now it has broken beat maestros “Dego” McFarlane (4hero, Silhouette Brown, etc) and Kaidi Tatham (Bugz In The Attic, Silhouette Brown, etc) on its roster.
The pair’s self-titled EP is Eglo Records’ first release of 2014 and features the duo’s unmistakable brand of broken beats that we hear far too little of, despite pent-up demand for their unique style of jazzy dance-floor fusion.
On this page listen to the four-track EP, which can be bought at numerous outlets including Boomkat, iTunes, Juno and Groovedis.
