Fans of Jill Scott will love Back For More, a free neo soul album by DJ Jazzy Jeff and singer Ayah
With Jill Scott’s film career going into overdrive, it may well be some time before anyone hears her unique brand of neo soul again. Or so many thought until they heard Ayah. The Jill Scott-sounding singer-songwriter from Toronto hooked up with DJ Jazzy Jeff, who runs A Touch of Jazz Production, a Philadelphia-based outfit that launched the careers of artists, such as Jill Scott and Floetry.
Not surprisingly Ayah’s album Back For More follows the same Philly-flavoured blueprint that’s proven so successful for the likes of Scott and Co. In fact, it’s arguably the best neo-soul album of 2011. And it’s free!
