Promoters Adam “Rock” Moses and Justin “TopRock” McKenzie release Jazz Re:freshed Scrapbook, a publication (and free CD) celebrating 11 years of their live jazz night in London
The promoters behind the live music night Jazz Re:freshed are marking 11 years of running the London jazz club with a celebratory book and accompanying CD.
The Jazz Re:freshed Scrapbook, published by Adam “Rock” Moses and Justin “TopRock” McKenzie is, in their words, “a cultural scrapbook, archiving and documenting Jazz Re:freshed visually, sonically and in words”.
Free with the publication is Jazz Re:freshed Live Volume One, a 14-track CD comprising live tracks by the likes of Brownswood Recordings artist Zara McFarlane and Snarky Puppy’s keyboardist Cory Henry.
On this page are extended highlights from the album, which spans the soaring jazz funk of Turtl Dance to a brassy, full-bodied cover of Cameo’s Candy.
For digital junkies who have no room in their lives for an old-fashion book, Messrs Moses and McKenzie have promised to release an e-book version of the title in due course.
However, for those who still delight in the tactility of paper Jazz Re:freshed Scrapbook can be bought for £10 ($15.59) here.
